Yes it is true! Carine Roitfeld models (Rick Owens) with her whole family for Barneys’ Fall campaign. I simply adore this picture with her son Vladimir, taken by Mario Sorrenti. More photos of the campaign here or coming to you in all important (American) September issues!!
And we’re really in for a treat. For the “Carine’s World”-themed fall women’s campaign features, the former editor-in-chief of French Vogue recruited her daughter Julia Restoin-Roitfeld in Givenchy, son Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld in his own clothes, Marie Amelie Sauve in Balenciaga, Victoire de Castellane in Azzedine Alaïa, Dasha Zhukova in Proenza Schouler, and Naomi Campbell in Fendi.

STEP IT UP
Nike hired Annie Leibovitz to shoot seven female athletes recruited from a broad spectrum of sports to make up the ‘Make Yourself’ team. Tennis players Maria Sharapova and Li Na, track-and-field stars Allyson Felix and Perri Shakes-Drayton, soccer’s Hope Solo, dancer Sofia Boutella, and surfer Laura Enever appear in individual and group portraits, one of which features the women in the Nike Victory Bra series.

The multi-faceted campaign is shot by Steven Meisel and will be the ‘largest digital initiative in the company’s history’. Expects advertising everywhere and interactive content that goes ‘beyond spot the model/musician/dancer/artist’! I really liked the video, so I’m curious to find out what’s on the renewed CKONE site.

Vogue Italia released the first picture of Missoni’s new campaign starring Leighton Meester. It’s so energetic & fun, I forgot to look at the clothes. And when I did, I liked it even more!

THIS LITTLE PIGGY WENT TO MULBERRY
Tim Walker shot the new campaign for Mulberry starring Nimue Smit and Lindsey Wixon. I just love Tim, his images are a true inspiration and I adore Emma Hill of Mulberry, but only this picture really stole my heart. Like totally!
